Sprint today announced three new upcoming handsets for the fall. The LG Lotus smartphone, the Samsung Highnote and the Samsung Rant. The phones come equipped with One Click user interface which allows users to easily access the features which they use most on these devices.
Samsung Highnote
The Highnote brings the concept of a dual-sliding phone down from high-end Nokia and Samsung smartphones to mid-range devices: while one direction offers the usual keypad, sliding the opposite direction exposes hidden speakers that put out more powerful sound than most phone speakers can manage. The device also touts an iPod-like control pad and microSDHC card support for up to 16GB of music or videos. The Highnote also serves as a two-megapixel camera phone and supports Sprint’s usual Music Store and TV services over EVDO. It debuts on October 19th in blue and red color schemes, and is priced at $100 after including a two-year contract and rebate.
LG Lotus
Available in October for $150 with a two-year contract, the stylish LG Lotus makes a distinctive fashion statement as a full QWERTY flip phone with a unique square shape and two color options - textured purple or satin black. The LG Lotus is one of the first phones to offer One Click. A Sprint exclusive, the LG Lotus aims to offer the combination of both style and substance, featuring stereo Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera and Wireless Backup.
Samsung Rant
The last announced model by Samsung, the Rant is also a slider but only in horizontal side. With a full QWERTY keyboard has the same specifications like the previous model: 2 megapixel camera with camcorder, expandable memory up to 16GB, stereo Bluetooth, Sprint Navigation, Sprint Music Store and Sprint TV. This handset will be available also in October for just $49.99 with a 2-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate and in red or black, but also in an exclusive purple color at Best Buy.
