Review: Motorola Q

Motorola Q is extremely thin at only 0.45 inches (the I-mate SP5m and Treo 650 are both about 0.75 inches) and feels rock solid in your hand. The QVGA landscape-oriented display is unique for a WM Smartphone, and the high resolution looks wonderful. The stereo speakers are loud and the camera works well. It was nice to see a jog dial again on a device since I missed these from my Sony CLIÉ days.

The thumb-keyboard is well spaced even for my fingers (I am 6′1″ and 240 lbs.) and makes text messaging and e-mail a pleasure on a Smartphone. The ability to use Bluetooth stereo headphones is also a major bonus, and the other Bluetooth profiles are very well integrated with the Bluetooth Manager. This was my first experience using EV-DO services, and after experiencing it on the Q I am impressed with its speed.
