RCom is set to launch a subsidiary of Jump Games in US in a bid to cater to the mobile subscribers in the country and offer them its gaming and other content services. The firm will be head quartered in Chicago and aims to grow using both the organic and inorganic mode. Jump Games feels that the launch of Jump Games USA and the opening of its new office is an important step in strengthening its ability to acquire and deliver exciting mainstream mobile content to U.S. consumers.  At the moment, Jump Games already has several exclusive licenses,  those are from Manchester United, Honest Entertainment (for Fido Dido) and Virgin Comics. iPod retailers have recently been indicating that the current line of iPods are soon to be on their way out to make way for a new lineup. Then, Retail sources said its closing time for current iPod line. Stateside, people familiar with the inventory management systems of mass merchandizer Target say all current iPod models have recently seen their status shift from “Active” to “Discontinued” when scanned with handheld PDA scanners used by employees. read more…

T-Mobile today announced the Sony Ericsson TM506, a compact and stylish clamshell phone designed for surfing the web. The TM506, Sony Ericsson’s first handset supporting T-Mobile’s (News – Alert) AWS spectrum (1700/2100), will be launched early next month. Sony Ericsson showed enlarging its carrier channels in the U.S. by including T-Mobile USA. With this addition, Sony Ericsson will now reach more than 31 million wireless subscribers. read more…
 
It has been one month the initially-rumored released, finally BlackBerry Bold 9000 is launched in Canada, as of today, August 21. Rogers has not announced (yet) Bold’s release, but the smartphone is available for purchase on its official website.
