Samsung and AT&T are now fessing up to its existence by quietly posting product info pages on their respective sites without so much as a single press release from either Sammy or the carrier.The simple flip phone is so basic that it doesn’t even offer an external display. The feature set is centered squarely on making calls and messaging. That can be the reason of no single press reease yet. Boingo Wireless and Sony Ericsson have recently announced owners of WiFi enabled Sony Ericsson UIQ 3.0. mobile phones can now download the Boingo Mobile application announced Boingo Wireless. As Boingo Mobile is a Wi-Fi app,  the only Sony Ericsson handsets that can make use of it are the Wi-Fi enabled ones: : the G900 touchscreen Web-oriented candybar, the W960 touchscreen Walkman and the QWERTY-equipped P1. Boingo Mobile identifies hotspots that are part of the Boingo Wi-Fi network and automatically authenticates users. Boingo’s network includes more than 500 airports – including 85 of the top 100 airports worldwide – as well as hotels, coffee shops, restaurants, cafes and retail locations. read more…

Here’s that commercial we told you about earlier – the first in the series of ads for Microsoft’s $300 million campaign to help prop up Windows Vista and to counter Apple’s successful “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” campaign . Those Jerry Seinfeld Microsoft advertisements started today. For 90 seconds, it’s two middle-aged guys in a discount shoe store at the mall, talking about, well, discount shoes. And, don’t forget the gratuitous subtitles for the Spanish-speaking onlookers. What’s that all about? What does any of this have to do with Microsoft, Apple or computing? It’s not until the two guys – who are both showing their age, by the way – walk into the mall parking lot do we hear anything about Microsoft or computers. read more…
