

Mobile games firm Ozura Mobile has announced its expansion into India, via a partnership with Goldfinch Mobile Solutions. Singapore-based mobile publisher and developer Ozura Mobile signed a partnership deal with VAS solutions provider Goldfinch Mobile Solutions to bring mobile games and a tournament-based mobile gaming portal running on Ozura’s FunlogiX platform to GSM, CDMA and Fixed Line operators in India. The deal means Goldfinch will be offering Ozura’s FunlogiX mobile gaming platform to Indian mobile operators, allowing them to manage their own mobile games communities. DirecTV will release a new TiVo-powered high-def DVR in the second half of 2009. It will improve upon its 2004 predecessor, the DirecTiVo, by being able to receive the DirecTV’s whole gamut of digital and high-def channels. This is the original, awesome, high-definition TIVO powered DVR for directv. It is offering up 150 hours of high-def recording space, THX certification, a Series3 premium backlit remote and a bundled HDMI cable.This unit can record two programs at one time while watching another. Sony Ericsson’s been having a tough time lately, while there are still plenty of fans eagerly awaiting its Xperia X1 smartphone.On Wednesday, Sony Ericsson released its Software Development Kit (SDK) for Windows Mobile 6.1 that will allow developers to create Web and native panels for the Xperia X1 smartphone. That should mean the X1 will be available soon. These are customizable Home screens that can be called up at a button press and are supposed to make the X1 more user-friendly.

Today Sony announced that the PSP will gain the ability to directly download games, demos, etc. from the PSN without having to first link the handheld to a PS3 or PC first. This Fall, PSP will gain direct access to the PlayStation Store. This long promised feature will allow for PSP users to download demos and more directly to the portable without having to go through the PS3 or PC. Perhaps most importantly, the PSP will also get the ability to take their multiplayer gaming online via the PS3. Connect2Media, a multi-platform entertainment company has announced the launch of 80’s favorite Crystal Quest for mobile. This game currently graces selected carriers and will be available with various other carriers across the globe in few weeks. Crystal Quest is regarded as one of the very few classic games for Apple’s line of computers. It has been ported to a few different formats in its time – there was even an Xbox Live Arcade version not so long ago.
