Armani Phone Ver.2 by Samsung

Samsung and Giorgio Armani are teaming up for another dig at the designer phone market, with the Samsung Armani 2 Night Effect. The model M75500, nicknamed Night Effect, was unveiled at a press event held in Milan, Italy, on Sunday, the South Korean company said in a statement. It will be out under the Emporio Armani brand. This phone is dedicated mainly to being recognized as a premium music phone. This time the company has revised the design to a bar-type phone from a sliding shape and used LED on the side panels to show off blue, green, red lights to display the status of the phone.

Samsung Bresson M8800 8-megapixel cell phone

A new rumor from phones4u UK said that Samsung Bresson M8800 is the next 8 megapixel camera phone from Samsung with full touch screen.  Samsung M8800 has a codename called Bresson, which could be taken from Henri Cartier-Bresson, a French photographer. The Samsung M8800 won’t have a hardware keyboard onboard. The full touch UI will offer improved thumbable music and photo interface. The thickness of the handset is 15.5 mm, which makes it even slimmer than the Innov8, which measures 17.2mm.

The key features on the M8800 are that it has an 8 megapixel camera with autofocus  which is perhaps similar to the Samsung i8510, a 3.2″ touchscreen display in 16 million colours, GPS and HSDPA data. It is said that the M8800 is capable of full HDTV quality viewing, which would most likely imply an 800 x 480 pixel (WVGA) widescreen display, similar in resolution to the 3.8″ display on the HTC Touch HD, but quite a lot smaller.  read more…

Verizon’s Motorola Q9c receives Windows Mobile 6.1 update

The latest device to get updated to Windows Mobile 6.1 on Verizon Wireless is now the Motorola Q9c. It took forever, but it happened. Verizon and Motorola have finally announced the Windows Mobile 6.1 update for the Motorola Q9c. Motorola Q9c was launched this spring with Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard, so naturally it’s being upgraded to Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, the edition of this operating system for devices without touchscreens.

The update features all of the enhacements expected in Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, such as copy/paste functionality, threaded SMS messaging, and other improvements expected of the update. The update is currently available from the Motorola Direct website and as usual you will need a Windows XP machine with ActiveSync or a Microsoft Vista 32 machine with Mobile Device Center. A USB sync cable and 50% battery charge are also required, but this is a small price to pay for native threaded text messaging and improved web browsing. read more…

RCA intros the HD compatible EZ300 pocket camcorder

A pocket camcorder can be one of the most entertaining gadgets to carry around, especially since the world is always full of surprises waiting to be captured. RCA has just announced a new addition to the ever growing pocket camcorder market. The latest model is dubbed the EZ300HD and as the name implies it offers HD quality recording at 720p.

BlackBerry Pearl Flip shows up in a third color, silver

Currently, we had seen and understood that RIM’s  official announcement of BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 in two color schemes: black and red. For flip phone lovers who can’t get enough of the newly announced BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220, we have a variety of updates for you. First, our Spanish friends over at MiBlackBerry.com have found a new Pearl Flip colour in a RIM press release: Silver.

New images have surfaced showing the handsome Pearl Flip in a silver and black color combo. No confirmation on whether this color will make it to the US, but it certainly looks quite good. Second, BlackBerryNews.com is reporting that “internal documents” indicate the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 will also soon be released on O2 and T-Mobile Germany.
