OpenMoko, the open source handset manufacturer, will be working on a new handset known as GTA02 from November onwards that will run on the Android platform.  Reading through their site, it looks like they are expecting to start offering an Android device using OpenMoko’s design as early as November. They also mention a free Beta port of Android for existing FreeRunner customers.

Details about the Android-powered OpenMoko GTA02 are still sketchy at the moment, but from what we’ve gathered, it could feature a 2.8-inch 480 x 640 pixel touchscreen display, 400/500 MHz Samsung 2442B Processor, built-in Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3 axis motion sensing accelerometer. And like the G1, it should still employ the use of “hard†buttons, as well as a so-called 4-in-1 laser pen. Motorola and Asus are already working on Android phones, and we wait for to see others like Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson and even Nokia join the party.
HD film streaming, courtesy of your broadband connection and Netflix, should arrive on the Xbox 360 starting November 19. While a list of HD-ready movies is not immediately available, some 300 titles will be ready for HD streaming when the service launches–along with the new Xbox Live experience.

Much like the SD format, the Hi-Def streaming will require both memberships from Netflix subscription’s Watch Instantly and Xbox Live Gold account to quality for the service. In addition to its catalog of about 15,000 titles that will be available for near-DVD quality streaming, Netflix will stream 300 titles in HD to the Xbox 360. This is certainly big news for Xbox 360 owners, as no other device has the ability to stream Netflix in HD.
