Today Samsung  announced the launch of its all new business smart phone brand called BizBee. The BizBee name is designed to drive awareness of Samsung’s new smart phone range in the business community and ensure consistency in marketing communications.All the devices from the BizBee family will feature: all-in-one connectivity, a full QWERTY keyboard, email and other business capabilities. The first smart phone in production for the BizBee range is the Samsung i780 exclusively in Europe. With the uniquely designed large screen of the Samsung i780 you’ll be able to view documents and files. It will run on the Windows Mobile 6.1 platform, unlike the current version which runs on the old WM 6.0 platform.And, it will also come with an optical mouse and stylus for ease of use.

The device will launch in Europe. The first print ads are scheduled to run in 10 European countries in November/December 2008. The Samsung i780 is the first product from the BizBee range to be introduced in Europe, initially in the UK, Nordics, Spain and Netherlands. Â As for the other upcoming smartphones from the BizBee family, Samsung gave no further details. Guess we have to wait and see what they will bring.
Dell has introduced its latest Pharos Traveler 619 smartphone today. This popular cellphone with GPS costs $199,95 and is already available for purchase at Dell’s website. Sporting a 2.8-inch VGA touchscreen, the device has a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2-megapixel camera. The operative system used on the Traveler 619 is Windows Mobile 6, while the network options include quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and 3.5 support.

It also has Bluetooth / WiFi, IrDA and a battery good for four hours of yappin’. Order now for a buck ninety-nine and it should be under the tree in plenty of time.
Sling.com, the streaming site of Slingbox maker Sling Media, has emerged from private beta and is opening up access to its video content to the public. Sling.com, featuring current television content from networks like NBC, CBS, and Fox, along with a selection of movies, older televisions shows, and video from Web-based video sites like College Humor.

Viewers can subscribe to the video feeds of shows currently on the air like The Soup and House, as well as recently and long-canceled shows like Arrested Development and MacGyver. The movie selection, which appears to be imported from Hulu, is limited, but Sling says all categories of video will expand in the future as it works with studios and other content providers. The Sling portal enables users to create profiles listing shows users have watched and marked as favorites; users can also sign up as fans of other Sling.com users and subscribe to video feeds of current and long-gone shows.Sling is off to a good start – its interface compares well to Hulu and Joost, and its selection of content is impressive if not unique. Once it nails down its live streaming (hopefully with full Mac support and no plugin needed)

The viNe service compatible with a slew of E and N Series handsets, taps into your built-in GPS receiver and uploads your media to the viNe website in order for others to keep track.  What’s even better, that you are able to share these trips via a widget on your blog or website – fully describing your experiences to others.

After you select Stop in the application, your data is then submitted to the Nokia servers and a virtual trail with this media content along the path is presented on a world map for people to view.
