Motorola drops the Hint QA30

Motorola have officially announced the Hint QA30, as seen yesterday gussied up with Alltel logos, complete with full specs. Rather than cater to full mobile apps, though, the Hint is designed for social networking with e-mail, SMS and text-heavy social sites like Facebook. Motorola Hint QA30 offers one-touch SMS access, threaded messaging (you can store up to 300 messages), quick access to email and Instant Messaging programs. Moreover,  Motorola claims a more advanced web browser than on most simpler devices with quick scrolling and zooming for navigating pages.

The Motorola Hint’s stylish design highlighted by a full-color 2.5-inch widescreen LCD. Its integrated MP3 player features one-touch music keys for playback functions when the slider closed. Consumeres can store multimedia on microSD cards or transfer music from a PC via a USB 2.0 high-speed link. It also offers a 3.5mm headphone jack. FCC Reveals Pantech Duo II C820

The FCC has revealed the first images of the Pantech C820, which is being referred to as the Duo II. The new C820 has a dual-slider form-factor and resembles the current Duo C810. Dual-sliding keyboard/keypad setup  means to makes for quickness in numeric or QWERTY typing. The model, it will come with smoother look, resembling the Helio Ocean, which by the way is also manufactured by Pantech.

SKorean scientists claim to develop ‘true blue’ for OLED screen

South Korean scientists announced to have developed an efficient “true blue” material that can accelerate the development of next-generation organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays. The breakthrough by Jin Sung-ho’s team at Pusan National University is significant because it can accelerate the development of color OLEDs that have the potential to replace conventional liquid crystal displays (LCDs).
