LG officially launched the Prada II smartphone today. A big surprise, it’s brought along a friend in the shape of a Bluetooth watch, the Prada Link. As we’ve already seen, the Prada II itself is a 3G HSDPA (900/2100MHz) device with WiFi, a 3-inch capacitive WQVGA touchscreen and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

The brand new Prada Phone by LG has also a new user interface, built around LG’s “active flash†menu system.There’s improved haptic feedback, so the phone vibrates when the screen is touched, as well as 3G with HSDPA and a 5 megapixel camera. Alltel and Samsung join hands to introduce a phone with wide range of colors, Samsung SCH-r600 or also known as Samsung Hue II. It earned it’s name due to the Fastap Press-to-Experience keys that make for faster composition of text messages. It combines six one-touch, easy-access keys with a standard alphanumeric keypad, giving you quick access to services and apps.

Specs wise, the Hue II sports a 2.2-inch screen, A-GPS, Bluetooth, music player with dedicated control keys, 2 megapixel camera that can take both photos and videos, email app, 54MB of internal memory that is further expandable with microSD cards. The device measures 3.8×1.9×0.7 inches and has a weight of 3.4 ounces. The Samsung Hue II for Alltel is available now for US$39.99, after online discounts and a mail-in rebate along with a two-year service agreement. After version 1.3 of Facebook available last week, it was the turn of version 1.5 to talk about it. Â FaceBook for BlackBerry version 1.5 is targeted for a January 2009 release, and will include the deeper integration with Facebook while maintaining the unique push features offered in current application.Â
