BBC has just reported on a new handset being created by a bunch of Ejector Seat specialists in Hereford – IA Technologies. While we don’t have any info about the features or exact availability dates and pricing, BBC does say it will be “the world’s first fully accurate voice recognition system for mobile phones.” A phone so secret that the BBC can’t even show us how it works. They do manage to demonstrate how it’s worn.The Zumba phone is totally handsfree bluetooth device that stores all contacts and details remotely.

Acer launches Ferrari 1200 with Turion Ultra

Acer will be introducing yet another Ferrari notebook as part of the branding deal with the Italian supercar manufacturer. The new model will be known as the Ferrari 1200 and its made by using carbon-fibre cover just like a F1 race-car material which is lighter and stronger than the magnesium alloy.  Acer says it’s new Ferrari 1200 notebook “conveys the look and feel of a F1 racecar” with a “unique ventilation design that echoes the exhaust pipes of F1 cars.” The 12-inch portable is the third generation of the notebook and updates to a newer AMD Turion X2 Ultra processor and gets a newer mainboard platform that includes faster Mobility Radeon video and an M780G chipset, . It continues to sport an LED-backlit display and holds as much as 4GB of DDR2 memory in higher-end trim.

Hitachi Wooo Ketai H001 Phone

Japan’s second biggest mobile phone carrier, KDDI au, on Thursday presented their new cell phones. The Hitachi Wooo Ketai H001 is a new 5MP camera phone from KDDI au . Its 845×480 screen display measures 3.1-inch in diagonal, and is based on a color-accurate and a wider viewing angles IPS panel. Its 3.1-inch display  can be swiveled horizontally to be more TV-like. This AU handset from KDDI Japan also features a 3D display for both videos and photos,  microSD memory card slot, CDMA 1X WIN, Bluetooth, 1Seg TV tuner support, and e-wallet support.  The device weights just 145 grams. The phone’s battery is reported to provide up to 260 hours of standby time, as well as about 220 minutes of talk time.

The SOLiCharger has great features as well  compact and lightweight, comparable with other solar chargers of  which can be bulky and ugly.  The SOLiCharger, going for $39.95. Four hours of direct sunlight will charge your phone, but you can also power it up via USB. It also features a pass-through 30-pin port, LED charging status lights, and the ability to charge some other iPod models—due to the design, some wider iPods will not fit in the device.

Samsung to intro entry-level S3500 handset

The newest slider entry-level phones to come from Samsung is the S3500. Yet, the phone is set to target the entry-level slider market when released. Samsung  S3500 design has a simple slider and some basic features common in low-cost phones. The phone was recently approved by the FCC and support of the 850MHz band, hinting that AT&T or T-Mobile might be launching it in the US.
