Windows Mobile 6.5 to be unveiled next month

Microsoft is planning to unveil three new mobile services at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona next month. There’s also talk of those previously leaked WinMo6.5 screenshots actually being legitimate WM6.5 concept screenshots. Just to refresh your memory, here are the three codenamed services:

Verizon Wireless Network Extender femtocell coming January 25th for $250

Verizon Wireless is finally going to launch its own femtocell service starting on January 25. That would allow you to get better coverage on your Verizon wireless line. That femtocell device in the picture there looks like a small cellular but this device adds 5,000 square feet of CDMA coverage to the location of your choosing and supports up to three simultaneous calls. Therefore it costs a few extra dollars. You will need to pony up $250 for a femtocell gizmo, perhaps pay an additional monthly fee and use your own broadband network.

Sprint Palm Treo 755p firmware updated

Sprint released A new firmware update  for the Palm Treo 755p on the Palm website. The new firmware v1.08 is expected to be able improve the overall stability of the QWERTY-equipped smartphone. It is deescribed on the Palm’s website states as follows: “This software patch is for a phone reset issue that occurs under certain specific and rare conditions. Download this patch only if you are experiencing reset issues with your phone on a regular basis.”

Sprint Palm Treo 755p firmware updated

The update’s page on Palm’s website reads that the firmware upgrade should be performed by any 755p user who has a device running with the 1.04 or the 1.07 version of the software. It is recommended to backup any important information before applying the update. you may see further the system requirements and instruction in the site. Palm Treo 755p owners can download the patch from Palm’s website
