With the release of HTC DIAMOND 2, HTC also released HTC TOUCH PRO 2.  It’s bigger than the Touch Pro (4.5 inches tall by 2.3 inches wide by 0.6 inch thick versus 4 inches tall by 2 inches wide by 0.7 inch thick) but again solidly built. The HTC Touch Pro2 is a 3G (third-generation) smartphone with a 3.6-inch touchscreen that uses a customized version of Microsoft’s Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. The navigation buttons along the bottom are smaller. The Touch Pro 2 still has tilting screen is back, but now has 3.6 inch WVGA screen, a brand new TouchFLO 3D and when the phone is flipped upside down will activates the speakerphone.  The device also packs Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP stereo wireless and  has a 3.2-megapixel camera with autofocus.
At Mobile World Congress High Tech Computer (HTC) unveiled the Touch Diamond2. The Touch Diamond 2 as you might have guessed, is the new Touch Diamond. The Diamond2 gets a screen upgrade, from 2.8in to 3.2in, with an accompanying resolution boost from VGA (480×640) to WVGA (480×800). The device doesn’t feel as plasticky with its brushed metal face and sides. One notable thing: the Diamond 2 takes a page from WinMo 6.5 and does away with the Start Menu and Program Listing completely. The Start Menu takes you directly to your TF3D list of customizable shortcuts and it is really, more convenient from which you can hit “All Programs” to get a text list of your programs. The phone also includes a new touch sensitive zoom bar for even faster zooming of Web pages, emails, text messages, photos or documents.
AT&T* and Pantech Wireless, Inc. just announced the Pantech Matrix Pro(TM), available exclusively from AT&T on Feb. 24. The handset will measure 21.6 mm in profile and its key feature will be the double sliding mechanism that will slide sideways to show the full QWERTY keyboard and straight to reveal the numeric keypad. It will have a steel-blue metallic finish. Pantech is the manufacturer behind the Helio Ocean and the Helio Ocean 2, which have a similar design. Features includes a compact new premium design with a larger and more brilliant LCD screen, and a chat-style view of text messages. Of course like most smartphones, it has support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for syncing with calendars, e-mail, and contacts, plus you get support for Microsoft Office documents.
It will have a 2 MPx camera, and customers in 3G coverage will be able to use AT&T Video Share to send live video during a phone call to a user with a compatible phone. Matrix Pro users will have the option of Bluetooth for wireless headsets or a 3.5mm headset jack. We’re still hunting down specifics on pricing and availability, but it’ll likely be soon.
