AT&T To Offer LG Neon

PhoneArena has spotted new photos of the LG Neon with a bold AT&T logo at the top. From the official press pics out there, the launch of the AT&T Neon can not be very far off the form of the LG KS360.  The phone boasts 2.4 inch QVGA, 240 x 320 touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera, 15 mb of internal memory plus expandable microSD, Bluetooth, FM radio.

The LG Neon will be target to the young. The phone provides a handy QWERTY keyboard for fast text input so it clearly focussed for teens who prefer to live out a life of texting. Sadly, no word on release date and price.

Toshiba enters touch phones with 1GHz TG01

Toshiba on Tuesday anounced their latest Windows Mobile device. Toshiba TG01 will be the fastest phone available and also be thinner than the iPhone as Toshiba claimed. The phone sporting a 4.1-inch touchscreen, with WVGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution, measuring 9.9mm thick. The screen also contains many of Toshiba’s HDTV technologies, such as colour matching, dynamic gamma correction and LCD backlight control. Toshiba’s new GUI is aimed for one-handed use, with finger-friendly vertical panels that can be swiped through and rotated like vertical blinds.

The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon and is the first device to use Qualcomm’s 1GHz Snapdragon QSD2850 chipset. The phone runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 but will have a customized front-end and full support for Flash-based video as well as DivX. That might turn some readers off the TG01.  About 512MB of storage will be onboard but can be supplemented by microSD cards. Moreover, the phone is running 3G HSPA, WiFi, GPS and A-GPS.

The Toshiba TG01 also features Toshiba’s own 3D user interface and it claim to be working with several to produce downloadable, internet-enabled games. The video and gaming running on the demo TG01 handsets were both smooth, slick and high-resolution, even in the less than ideal lighting environment.

LG Arena KM900 touchscreen phone pics and specs

A photo of the high-end touchscreen phone LG KM900 Arena leaked online, complete with preliminary specifications in Netherlands, via retailer’s Phone House sales brochure. The handset features a high quality touch display with a new innovative 3D user interface boldly named “S-Class” which bears some resemblance to the Apple iPhone’s. It has its metallic design which is resembles to the Samsung i900 Omnia. The device has a large touchscreen believed to be 240 x 400 resolution, WiFi, Bluetooth and a 5-megapixel camera with the ability to record HD video. There is no detailed spec so far. The LG Arena KM900 is expected to launch in European in March 2009.

Samsung to Launch Mobile Apps Store

 At the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona Samsung informed its plans to launch the Samsung Mobile Applications online store. The store, which will initially be for customers in the U.K., will launch with 1,100 applications for Samsung S60 and Windows Mobile devices.

Phil Northam, Global Marketing Manager at Samsung Mobile Innovator explained “All Samsung Mobile Innovator members are automatically setup with a Samsung Mobile Applications account, there is no need for them to register separately so this represents a fantastic opportunity for them to get their applications to a large Samsung-user audience very quickly”.

First Image: Verizon BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230!

BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230 gets first live picture  posted by BlackBerryInsider. The Pearl Flip 8230 according to a Crackberry member, works on the CDMA and EVDO networks. Other rumors explained the 8230 first launch will be from Canadian provider Telus around this month. It is also said it will has  ”very reasonable” price and with silver will be among the color options. Along with the image comes these words:

I just received my Verizon Flip Pearl (81230 Flip). I don’t think Verizon has annouced it yet, but if not it should be coming soon. Not sure what the color options will be, but mine came in Silver. I personally like the Black (T-Mobile Version) better. I will be testing it over the next few days and let you know how it does.
