Samsung has announced Anycall SPH-W7100 phone that features a few self defense tools. Samsung SPH-W7100 cell phone comes with a built-in alarm and a direct link to local emergency services. Its siren can go up to 100dB  and can send to parents, relatives, or authorities an immediate email with GPS position once the SOS Alarm is triggered. If the phone is switched off or is out of coverage, a user can press the SOS button located at the back to email the GPS location of the user to the emergency services authorities. Concerning with the specifications, it seems to have a microSD slot and a camera (mostly 2MP)
 
It is expected to become available by March 13th.
Gresso has released another uber-expensive phone in the form of the Gresso Skeleton Gold phone. The Gresso Skeleton Gold will retail for $4,400. This is not too different from the Avantgarde Skeleton but it comes with more than just gold. The device has 23 functional keys made of 18k gold and a QVGA screen coverd by hand-polished 42k sapphire glass for greater transparency.
The specs are about as standard as they come: QVGA screen, Â Bluetooth, 2 gigs of internal storage, and a 2MP camera. The Skeleton Gold will run on Windows Mobile 6.

Apple has released to public beta its Safari 4 web browser, the new version of its web browser for both Windows and Mac OS X computers.  It’s got a new Javascript engine—called Nitro—Apple claims that  Nitro JavaScript engine runs JavaScript up to 30 times faster than Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 and more than three times faster than Firefox 3.
Other new features include ‘Top Sites’, a page that displays your most visited or favorite sites. It can be configured as either your home page or as a page you see every time you open a new tab. With ‘Top Sites’, users can do ‘Full History Search’ through not only the URLs and titles of visited pages, but also the complete text within the page itself — something Opera has been doing for a while.
Top Sites sounds like Chrome and the new Tabs on Top layout seems pretty Chrome-y too. Tabs can be rearranged, or you can drag them out and create new browser windows. And, as in previous versions, Safari 4 can merge all of your open windows into one multi-tabbed window. Safari 4 extends Apple’s popular Cover Flow navigation interface which allows for full history searches, by keyword, title, web address and more.And, in the same way album art can be browsed in iTunes.
