A picture an upcoming Android-powered Motorola device has surfaced. Special edition Iron Man handset or just a codename and the phone is expected to be launched  in the third quarter of the year. Specific specs are absent, but this handset will purportedly be a relatively high-end beast: Wi-Fi, 3G, a “screamin’ CPUâ€, and a high-res camera are all mentioned. Kind of interesting that when the touchscreen is closed and the keyboard hidden, there don’t seem to be any exterior buttons on the face of the phone.
The latest news on the Web, wireless carrier T-Mobile is on its way to release the Samsung T349, which would be the second low-end device coming from the Korean mobile phone maker. The handset offers a 20 key “SureType” typing method that we’ve already seen on the BlackBerry Pearl. The feature also includes a 1.3MP camera with video recording, a semi-QWERTY keypad, email, instant messaging, photo caller ID, mobile backup, Bluetooth and GPRS connectivity.
Android 1.5 is officially released which is also known as Cupcake. Now, Â Owners of the Android developer phone can now download and install the latest Android 1.5 ‘Cupcake’ update on to their handsets. There’s no word on exactly how 1.5 will come to existing Android handsets in the field, but as far as we can tell, there’s nothing listed in the changelog that would prevent current hardware from taking full advantage
The Android team also said that HTC, the manufacturer of the Android powered G1, has made new system images available to upgrade dev phones to Android 1.5. Â Android 1.5 OS will probably be released for all Android smartphones in May.
