Kyocera EOS folding OLED phone concept

Kyocera has shown off a new level of gadget cool at CTIA by unveiling the EOS folding OLED mobile phone.  Designed by industrial designer Susan McKinney, the EOS phone consists of a soft, semi-rigid polymer skin surrounding a flexible low-energy OLED display.

Shape memory allows keys to morph up from its surface when needed and fade away when not in use. The flexibility of the screen allows for greater adaptability of form and interaction as it maintains a compact shape (the size of a small wallet) for simple phone calls, and unfolds to reveal a large widescreen display.
