Motorola is an old hand at the iDEN market. iDEN is, it’s Nextel’s Push-to-Talk walkie-talkie like service DEN,  which is a popular feature among businesses. THey require instant and simultanious communication with numerous people around the country. It gives a national range, unlike simple walkie-talkies, and doesn’t add any additional hardware.
The i465 has now appeared on the FCC’s website, along with a bunch of pictures and a User Manual.  the FCC has given its blessings after the handset favorably satisfied every part of founded on telecommunications requirements.  It features a unique QWERTY keypad design, Bluetooth, and a VGA camera.

The Femto Forum, 3GPP and the Broadband Forum announced that the world’s first femtocell standard has been officially published by 3GPP. It should pave the way for large-scale production of standardised femtocells, and enable interoperability between different vendors’ access points and femto gateways. The new femtocell standard covers four main areas: network architecture; radio & interference aspects (both completed last December); femtocell management / provisioning and security (finalised this month).
The new standard, which is the result of cooperation between 3GPP, the Femto Forum and the Broadband Forum, forms part of 3GPP’s Release 8, and interdependent with Broadband Forum extensions to its Technical Report-069 (TR-069).
