Both Sprint and Palm have maintained the launch date of the most anticipated handset. Retailers are expected to receive shipments of the Pre in late April or early May and based on the initial batch of units, the Pre could launch on May 17. The launch would then be postponed to June 29th if the initial shipments are deemed too low to begin initial sales in May. Extensive training for customer service personnel as well as vacation freezes are taking place. The latter is for the month of May.
Rumor has it, the 5530 XpressMusic is on its way and it’s going to arrive this fall. According Daily Mobile, The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will supposedly join the 5800 XpressMusic in Nokia’s lineup of music-oriented touchscreen handsets. Most likely a XpressMusic phone with Symbian S60v5 OS. No word on pricing yet
