Sprint has published an official news release of the red version of the LG Lotus. The flip-phone sports a full QWERTY keyboard in an unusual, wide design has a and single-click interface that provides users with a shortcut to often accessed features such as texting, e-mail, navigation, and Sprint’s TV and music store services.
This phone equips two displays, a 2.4 inch internal screen and a 2.1 inch TFT external screen. It sports a 2 megapixel camera and a wireless backup feature for the contact list. The phone also packs in various other features such as Sprint TV, access to AOL, Gmail and Yahoo, stereo Bluetooth, microSD card supports upto 12 GB storage and a 900mAh powered battery offers talktime upto 5.5 hours.
The new LG Lotus should start selling on April 19th, but  there is official price has been announced for the red Lotus. The phone is expected to cost the same $100 as the currently available black and purple Lotus handsets after instant savings

Nokia released new firmware update for the 5800 XpressMusic. The free update, available from Nokia’s Software Update web site, brings with it some much-needed fixes for the 5800. The new firmware version brings in the Mobile Dictionary and Application Update Apps to the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. The first one offers you voice playback and text-to-speech, supporting 38 languages.
The free update also introduces some new features to the camera including a burst-mode that allows for multiple sequential shots from just one press of the shutter button. There are also new camcorder features including the ability to use the forward-facing video-call camera to take still images.  The new feature also allows users to check for available updates for applications they have and to update them directly in the device, very much like the iphone’s App Store.

 Samsung on Tuesday evening unveiled a successor to the Samsung Instinct. Official details of the Instinct S30 – which for a while was known as the Instinct Mini and Samsung have confirmed a 3.2-inch touchscreen. The candy bar shape has a few more curves than the its older sibling and it’s just the tinniest bit thinner, but it’s about the same otherwise The new Instinct will cost $129 when released on April 19 , you may compare to $199 for the cheapest model of the new iPhone. Unfortunately, Samsung Instinct S30 as a Sprint exclusive phone, will not be available outside the US.
The carrier-exclusive touchscreen phone features a 2.0 megapixel camera, GPS, Bluetooth 2.0, and virtual QWERTY keypad, along with Opera Mini 4.2, Sprint TV, and Sprint Music Store. It’s also got a Speech to Action function for controlling the phone by voice and alllegedly more access to the core Java API for development.
