Clarion has launched in Japan the FZ409 CD player that handles MP3, WMA and AAC audio file formats. Â You can also connect your USB flash drive or an iPod to listen to your favorite tunes. The cool factor for this CD player is that it has an optical touch sensor for changing tracks, moving between menu, or changing the volume level with the touch of a finger.
There are integrated low- and high-pass filters, along with a 50W x 4 amplifier. A remote control ships with the FZ409. Satellite radio can be hooked up via a separate receiver, while another adapter lets users integrate video-capable iPods to an external monitor.

Samsung’s latest messaging phone ‘SGH-t349′ is now official and available for purchase via T-Mobile USA. It is a compact and slim messaging phone  features a 20-key half-QWERTY keyboard, auto-word completion and XT9 predictive text. In addition, the handset is also T-Mobile myFaves enabled and features instant messaging onboard, which includes Yahoo! Messenger, AIM and Windows Live Messenger. The Samsung SGH-t349 brings some multimedia know-how to the table, with a 1.3 megapixel camera and an accompanying microSD card slot for extra storage. It has MP3 Player whcih supports MP3, AAC, AAC+ and Bluetooth with A2DP support for stereo Bluetooth headsets is also on board.

TmoToday informs a device codenamed “Morrison” a late entry for T-Mobile, is due sometime between early November and the end of the year. The Morrison will be a 3G smartphone that runs on Android. From what we can tell by image, it is clearly a touchscreen device with a slide-out, 3-row QWERTY keyboard. Beyond that its hard to say – it looks like a trackball might be intact but how many Motos have trackballs? The device shows some similarities to the Calgary, an in-development Motorola phone for Verizon.

AT&T has officially announced the Blackberry Curve 8900 will be available this Friday. Â Priced at $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, the Curve 8900 is the slimmest full-QWERTY BlackBerry to date. This quad-band GSM phone does not have 3G, but does include Wi-Fi b/g and Bluetooth.
The Blackberry Curve 8900 packs quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE data, WiFi b/g and GPS, together with a 3.2-megapixel camera, 480 x 360 display and microSD/SDHC card slot (happy with cards up to 32GB). It also also has a 512 MHz processor, GPS receiver, a 3.2 MPx camera, and a 1400 mAHr battery that gives it a talk time of 5.5 hours and approximately 15 days of standby time.
