The Virgin Mobile Samsung Mantra the newest mid-range slim flip phone to arrive at the carrier. Virgin Mobile has started selling   Samsung  Mantra or in technical parlance, SPH-m340. Being an entry-level phone, Mantra doesn’t bring anything extraordinary apart from the battery, promising to give up to 5.5 hours of talk time . The Samsung Mantra is a slim flip phone with external caller ID and dual colour screens, priced at $59.99, making it a desirable yet affordable handset synonymous with Virgin Mobile USA’s line-up of no-annual-contract quality devices.

The Virgin Mobile Samsung Mantra’s feature list includes: a VGA camera with 4x zoom, Bluetooth, full color display screen, 8 MB of memory, web browser, speakerphone & of course it’s capable of texting.It weighs 3.35 ounces.

HTC brings HTC Touch Diamond2 to India

HTC has introduced the HTC Touch Diamond2 mobile phone in India. On the Indian market  the company has unveiled the Push Internet technology with it that enables better internet access. This technology enhances the downloading speed and the rendering of Web pages on the cell phone.

The handset features a 3.2-inch high-resolution wide-screen VGA display, a new touch sensitive zoom bar, five megapixel auto focus camera, expandable memory, gravity sensor and an ambient light sensor. The HTC Touch Diamond2 incorporates HTC’s latest TouchFLO 3D interface. TouchFLO 3D has been more deeply integrated into a customised version of Windows Mobile 6.1 to deliver more consistency throughout Windows Mobile applications and menus. Focused on making navigation easier and more intuitive, TouchFLO 3D brings important information to the top-level user interface, including quick access to people, messaging, e-mail, photos, music and weather.

LG Tritan AX840 by Alltel

A new LG phone has been released and it’s by Alltel Wireless. The new phone is called LG Tritan AX840 and it obviously has a touchscreen, plus a full QWERTY keyboard hidden underneath it.  LG Tritan AX840 borrows a bit from the form factor the T-Mobile G1 / HTC Dream is famous for.  The handset is powerful enough to support moderate 3D gaming as well as web browsing and e-mail, including Outlook sync. Storage is limited, however, to at most regular 2GB microSD cards.

Spec highlights include a 3-inch QVGA touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, full HTML browser, music player, G sensor, Bluetooth and a 3 megapixel camera. LG Tritan AX840 has 3G over EVDO Revision and true GPS for use with Alltel’s Navigator app.

Samsung’s Android-powered ‘Bigfoot’ leaked again

The T-Mobile G1 v2, “Bigfoot,” has not yet officially announced, but details on it have been emerging at a steady stream.The new image is in line with previous reports of this model, though it just looks wilder than previously. A new image with it has appeared over at BGR , showing the smartphone in a black/yellow color version, and with a modified design – although the QWERTY keyboard is in place.  This fits with Android’s consumer focus. According to their source, Bigfoot will tote a 3 megapixel camera alongside a 3.0? capacitive AMOLED touchscreen when it launches “soon.”

The Bigfoot will supposedly be the replacement for the T-Mobile G1, and according to previous reports will hit the U.S. market this fall.
