Reuters has confirmed recently that 3 UK, the smallest mobile operator in Britain, will be offering the Nokia N95 8GB as a Comes With Music device in November. Vending music as a part of a phone package is a new offering from Nokia but analysts states that Nokia will have to struggle unless operators agreed to support and sell the phone with a monthly contract over their networks
The Comes With Music service will first go on sale in Britain on October 16 via a pre-paid 5310 Xpress Music phone, and the monthly contract N95 will be supported and sold by 3 from next month, said the source, who had direct knowledge of the plan. Both 3 and Nokia declined to comment. It is believed that this offering is a direct challenge to Apple’s successful music service iTunes.
