The iPhone Dev team who are planning to release the much awaited software method to unlock iPhone 3G Â on New Year’s eve have just broadcasted a live demo video. The video shows us iPhone 3G sim locked and then shows the iPhone being unlocked via a soft-unlock which they are calling yellowsn0w.
 
The enteire process required just 10 seconds! In these few days, they will set up a new repository in Cydia (which means you will need to first jailbreak your iPhone) and by the Dec 31th, 2008 we will be able to download a little application “yellowsn0w†that will run the script and unlock our Phones.  The unlock will be released New Year’s Eve!
