Verizon Wireless has released a software update for the Casio G’zOne Commando rugged smartphone that adds the ability to make push-to-talk phone calls. This will be a free service, and apart from receiving walkie-talkie capability on your phone. Bringing the Commando’s software version to C771M100, other enhancements include a fix for a bug that left the device’s screen unlocked after a call was placed over a Bluetooth headset and tweaks that make for quicker email deletion. To enable Push-to-Talk after the update, simply log into the My Verizon account and add the required code. Then, simply open the Push-to-Talk app from within the Apps tab on the smartphone and enable this feature by clicking “OK.”
