As they so sneakily mentioned they would do in last week’s Renoir announcement, LG has announced the 8 megapixel KC780 slider phone. LG launches the 8 Mp LG-KC780 portrait phone, a slim slider phone just 13.9 mm thick, that includes a large 2.4-inch widescreen LCD. The LG-KC780 has about the same thickness as Samsung Pixon at around 13.9 mm (it was previously announced as 13.7mm by LG).
The phone is designed to ensure that its myriad camera features are convenient and easy to use. A Schneider-Kreuznach certified lens ensures that the LG-KC780’s camera takes high quality photos that are sharp and clear. The LG-KC780 includes smart technologies such as Face Detection, which automatically finds and focuses on people’s faces. Part of this feature relies on LG’s Smile Detection technology, which can recognize the angle of people?s mouths and adjust focus for faces.Great memories can happen anywhere and the LG-KC780 has a number features that ensure great shots no matter where they are taken. The LG-KC780 can almost see in the dark with adjustable light sensitivity up to an amazingly high ISO 1600. If an image is too bright, however, LG’s SmartLight™ setting automatically fixes it. A built-in Image Stabilizer ensures that pictures come out clear and sharp, even in shaky situations.For those times when a picture is not enough, the LG-KC780’s D1 Video recording captures DVD-resolution video of every moment
The rest of the specs packed by LG in the KC780 include: a 2.4 inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels and 262K colors, tri-band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) with GPRS and EDGE, Music player, DivX video player, Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, FM radio, Document viewer, email, 2 embedded games, 140MB of internal memory and microSD / microSDHC card support for up to 8GB. it goes on sale in November, first in Europe, then in CIS and Asia, including India, Thailand, Hong Kong and China.
