A Nokia N95 prototype can check your breath for diseases

Applied Nanodetectors Ltd (AND) of the UK has successfully rolled out a prototyped cell phone which was specially developed to detect a range of diseases, all from the user’s breath. It can detect bad breath and tells you what’s wrong with your body, based on the smart sensor chip inside your phone

It uses AND’s chip, the sensors are able to detect minute traces of different gases like CO2, NOx and ammonia (NH3). The chip matches the results after determining the composition of your breath and tabulating the density of each gas with already-known characteristics of various illnesses. It is said that the matching process resembles fingerprint matching

The British company says that it intends to market its new mobile product via Japanese carriers, as well as in Europe, with Nokias help.
