Acer will be introducing yet another Ferrari notebook as part of the branding deal with the Italian supercar manufacturer. The new model will be known as the Ferrari 1200 and its made by using carbon-fibre cover just like a F1 race-car material which is lighter and stronger than the magnesium alloy. Â Acer says it’s new Ferrari 1200 notebook “conveys the look and feel of a F1 racecar” with a “unique ventilation design that echoes the exhaust pipes of F1 cars.” The 12-inch portable is the third generation of the notebook and updates to a newer AMD Turion X2 Ultra processor and gets a newer mainboard platform that includes faster Mobility Radeon video and an M780G chipset, . It continues to sport an LED-backlit display and holds as much as 4GB of DDR2 memory in higher-end trim.
You also get an exclusive Bluetooth mouse and there’s an optional VoIP handset to go with the Ferrari 1200. Other specs include a slot-loading DVD drive, “large capacity†SATA hard-drive, Dolby Home Theater audio and WiFi. There’s also a webcam and biometric security courtesy of the fingerprint scanner, together with Acer’s DASP hard-drive protection system. There’s no pricetag on the Ferrari 1200, It’ll be out in the next few months, so keep your engines revved.
