Acer Liquid SnapDragon Chip Will Be Clocked At 768Mhz

At a conference in France on Monday, Revioo reported the specifications for Acer’s upcoming Liquid smarpthone have been revealed. Their upcoming Acer Liquid Android phone will be clocked at 768Mhz instead of the default 1Ghz.  Also confirmed at the conference is that the device will be powered by Android 1.6 before being upgraded to Android 2.0 sometime next year. Using a customized version of Android 1.6 Donut, the Acer Liquid has a more social networking centric contacts system, much like the Palm Pre or the HTC Sense

Other details are also confirmed such as 256MB RAM,  and a 5-megapixel camera, HSPA network compatibility, Wi-Fi, a GPS sensor and Bluetooth, along with a 3.5mm headset jack. It will also have a high-definition WVGA capacitive touchscreen. Pricing for the Acer Liquid is set at the equivalent of about $520 in Europe without carrier subsidies
