Google’s Android 2.0 has been given a more definitive confirmation today with a video (available below) and photos. The new version has added native Exchange, Youtube, and Facebook support. With Facebook integration, users can import contact data from their friends list. The Browser has reportedly been much improved; rivaling the iPhone 3GS in rendering speed. Google’s browser and Maps utilities themselves have been improved. Additional hardware support appears to be built-in and not only brings haptic (vibration) feedback on touchscreens that support it but also brings both text-to-speech and voice commands.
Highlights of Android 2.0 features include:
*Native Microsoft Exchange Support (hooray for business users!)
*Integrated Facebook, Facebook friends syncs to your contacts
*Improved Browser (double-tap to zoom, speeds similar to iPhone 3GS)
*Updated Maps includes support for Layers
*Unified E-Mail Inbox
*New YouTube widget for superfast uploads
*’Car Home’ application that gives big and bright icons for features used while driving
*A lot of voice control
