Android starts to show its progress with release a Game Boy emulator on the Android Market, called AndroidBoy. The AndroidBoy is the first emulator for the operating system and it is free available on the Android marketplace . With the emulator, users can have Game Boy games from the classic, Game Boy Pocket or Game Boy Advanced, on the G1 cell phone to play. It is a Java port of the UK, an emulator based on Java technology, and it is already available as JMEBoy for Java-enabled phones.
Unlike the traditional Game Boy emulator, you can not only play the keyboard, but also on the touchpad, which is probably likely to be more comfortable. The keys are A, B, Start, Select and they appear on the bottom of the screen. Also the pad can operate on the touchpad on corresponding areas on the edge of the screen. Interestingly, you can not only control the direction buttons but also on the orientation sensor in cell phone use, so that the pawn on the slope of the phone can move.
