Another Nokia touchscreen walks by!

Nokia, the world’s largest mobile phone maker, has finally responded to the threat posed by touch-screen based smartphones such as Apple’s iPhone with a model of its own. Now, we have a slide of another Nokia touchscreen device that looks quite simiar to the iPhone with no physical buttons and only a full touchscreen-based user intrface.

Unfortunately, Nokia hasn’t made any other reference to this phone or the revised OS, and could have very well trotted them out as a proof of concept of the company’s direction — particularly likely due to the fact that they were trying hard to butter up investors at the meeting. The slide, pictured again above, is part of a large presentation from Capital Markets Day that is now publicly available. Sure the handset pictured is a mockup but it was indeed created by Nokia. We ain’t sure if Nokia is being a tease or is indeed bringing it out, but considering how the Tube went real, we would be sitting pretty tight for Nokia to announce it at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next year
