Apple introduced a new 4 GB iPod Shuffle that has a new feature called VoiceOver provides song and playlist information at the press of a button. It will be a super-slim, 4GB iPod shuffle that holds up to 1,000 songs and includes a speech function that will read your song choices aloud. The new players will reportedly carry model numbers MC164 in black color and MB867 in silver includes a stainless steel clip  and also pack a new “dock/sync cable.” Moreover, Apple has offered 14 languages for VoiceOver, including French, Turkish, Swedish, Greek, Mandarin and French.
No word on pricing, but the current 2GB iPod Shuffle retails for around $65. The Apple Store is expected to return at around 8:30 AM Eastern time.

This is excellent.
The good thing about the iPod shuffle is its size and weight saving over the original iPods and now the iPod Touch. However this came at a price. The problem with the iPod shuffle has always been navigation through its content.
This addresses that. It is a bit of a linear navigation method, but I cannot help thinking that for blind and poorly sighted people this is going to represent a very good initiative.
