ASUS P552w - Touchscreen Phone

 ASUS P552w - Touchscreen Phone

Asus has rolled out it’s first ever handset call the P552w. The foot print of the device looks smaller than the iPhone or the Touch. It’s got a finger-driven control system called “Glide” which uses “cutting-edge Gester technology” which will let you zoom, scroll, flip and select items with your finger. The ASUS P552w boasts one of the most powerful CPUs (624MHz) on the market today. It also features 3.5G HSDPA (3.6Mbps) connectivity for fast Internet browsing, file sharing and TV program-streaming experience possible. The company is tacking on a few pieces of proprietary software as well, such as “EziPhoto” and “EziMusic,” and claims that the device has “seamless Google integration.” With the Google Maps and a ASUS SMS Location Link software, users at two different locations can locate each other easily by sending each other SMS messages. Clicking on the URLs which are automatically embedded in the sent messages will link the phones up to Google Maps, which will then provide the users with clear directions on how to get to each other’s positions. Like the iPhone, expect a slew of other apps to be included including an RSS reader, YouTube and Flickr viewer.
