On Thursday night in New York, Asus showed off for the first time a new brushed-metal design for the 10-inch Eee PC netbook. We first saw details on the back in late-October.The brushed metal model will have the same features of the original 1002HA, but with different hard drive and SSD options. A brushed metal effect is applied to the chassis of the netbook as well as the wrist rest.
To begin with, the Eee PC 1002HA will have a 10-inch display, as well as an Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.1n and it will be running Windows XP. Otherwise, the 1002HA will also have a few available options for storage including both SSD and standard hard drives. The brushed metal 1002HA model will begin to ship in Early December and retail for $499+.
