Azingo,Mobile Linux company, has announced that it’s all set to demonstrate its new Web 2.0 applications running on Azingo Mobile, its open mobile Linux platform. With Azingo Mobile application suite, users can interact with Web 2.0 content and services provided by Google Maps and YouTube (News - Alert), among others. The custom applications enable users to find and interact with Web content using touch or keypad controls. In addition, these applications enable users to view Web information in a format appropriate for mobile screen sizes. Moreover, company officials said, the Azingo Mobile Web runtime technology allows applications developed by third parties to be downloaded and executed on mobile devices that are powered by Azingo Mobile.
“Web content is personal, increasingly integrated with people’s lives,” said Azingo CEO Mahesh Veerina. “And yet most Web experiences remain confined to desktop use. Azingo is changing that by delivering important, personalized Web 2.0 experiences to a wide range of mobile devices.”
In addition, Azingo’s Web 2.0 video application enables users to interact with videos powered by YouTube: Users can search for videos by keywords or review categories of “favorites,” “most viewed” and “top rated.” To view the selected video, touch the image and watch it – as it streams to the phone.
