Now Best Buy has announced that the electronics retail giant will begin offering an unlocked version of the device at their brick and mortar stores and via the companies website. The unlocked GSM version will be the same unit featured over the last several months via online specialty stores. The Best Buy version like the current version offered online will lack US 3G, but will come equipped with Edge/GPRS data connectivity.The proof as they say is in the pudding, the Touch Diamond Unlocked is now featured on BestBuy.com with the “coming soon” slogan directly below the device. It’s unlocked and is listed to cost $699.99. You can pre-order now, if you like, and based on their ETA, it could be delivered to you as early as Sept. 29 though that’s not guaranteed until the units arrive at their stores
