BlackBerry® Messenger is an instant messaging application that allows BlackBerry Smartphone users to send and receive instant messages with other BlackBerry Smartphone users. Some of the new features include an enhanced SMS in a conversational, threaded format. This part of the app is available only to those using a device with BlackBerry OS 5.0. You can instantly chat, send and receive pictures, and set your availability status using a familiar desktop IM look and feel—all from your BlackBerry smartphone
