George Hotz aka GeoHotz, has announced that he will release the Blacksn0w tool to unlock iPhone 3G and 3GS on baseband 05.11.07 very shortly. Blacksn0w is a software unlock developed by Geohot for both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS users. As of this posting, Geohot has released nothing more than a screenshot with some random code. Blacksn0w will be released to the jailbreaking baseband unlocking masses on November 4th and can be loaded onto your device directly from Blackra1n. In other words, once you have managed to get your own code running on the baseband the next step will be to write and run the code which executes the unlock
