Sony has just informed that their newly announced Xperia smartphones, the Xperia S and Xperia Ion, will come equipped with the GLONASS satellite navigation system built-in. GLONASS is Russia’s implementation of GPS (Global Positioning System). GLONASS will work in conjunction with GPS and will allow Xperia handsets to connect to 24 additional satellites for better location accuracy and precision. For a GPS system requires four satellite signals to position itself, which can sometimes prove difficult in built up areas like cities, or mountainous surrounds. GLONASS support has already launched on smartphone luminaries such as the iPhone 4S and the pocket-stretching Galaxy Note.

T-Mobile is preparing to release a new Android smartphone in Europe. It’s being dubbed the T-Mobile Vivacity and is said to be headed to the European sect of Deutsche Telekom’s popular mobile provider brand. This little Gingerbread phone was spotted chilling at the Bluetooth SIG, though unfortunately there isn’t any hard info on it other than a standard 3G radio. It possibly has a front-facing camera, and it resembles a higher-end version of the ZTE Score which is introduced in the USA through Cricket not long ago.

Spycam images of the Motorola i1Q have shown up on the internet. The pictures just popped up on a Spanish Android forum. The Motorola i1Q, looks like a follow up to the Motorola i1 that was released last year and appears to borrow the keyboard from the Motorola Droid Pro. The Motorola i1q appears to be a fairly rugged device, with full physical buttons — including menu, home, back and call/end. Unfortunately it’s got a low powered processor and only runs Android 2.1.

The 3.7” WVGA touchscreen adorning the HTC 7 Mozart displays a Hub and Tile interface for quick access to information. Bing and Office are touted to be as easily accessible on the handset as Pictures, People, Games, Music & Video.
