Motorola W490 is a clamshell phone that has a lot of similarity with the the W385. The handset comes with music playback capability, picture messaging support, various applications, and support for T-Mobile service.
The new Motorola W490 phone will be released in September 24, 2007, although pricing details are currently unavailable.

LG Electronics releases its HSDPA phone ‘LG-SH150’, which supports up to 7.2Mbps data transmission speed and multi-channel S-DMB service. Comes with slim slide type with touch keypad, the SH150 contains text viewer, enhanced search function, WCDMA auto-roaming, mobile banking via USIM card, multitasking, electronic dictionary, subway map and portable disk.

FCC will approve the Nokia 6500 classic by the end of the year. Product shots or names were not included. During testing the phone included HSDPA internet access and USB connector for faster transfer of files. Whether it is AT&T exclusive or unlocked is still unknown. Bluetooth is also confirmed for the phone.

Google is engaging with Taiwan’s High Tech Computer (HTC) Corp to design and manufacture the cell phone. The Wall Street Journals reported that Google has spent hundreds of millions of dollars in this project and has courted US and European mobile operators. It’s interesting to see how this develops. Looks like Google is cooking up a Linux-based phone for launch in Q1 2008.
