Nokia N900 finally shipping in US today

Nokia today announced that the highly anticipated Nokia N900 is now on sale in the United States and shipping to consumers to all those who pre-ordered it. The N900 will be available through Nokia’s flagship stores in New York and Chicago or online. The Maemo 5 smartphone for the official price is $649. Maemo software is based on an open source platform and allows for a variety of different applications to be developed – from home brew to commercial and everything in between; such as podcasting, Twitter and instant messaging applications

HTC Hero and HTC Tattoo launched in Australia

HTC has unveiled two Android handsets called the HTC Tattoo and Hero in Australia. These devices join HTC’s range of handsets developed under the HTC Sense philosophy and technology.
With similar specifications, including 3.5mm audio jacks, the Hero and Tattoo both sport HTC’s Sense user interface on top of Android, with Facebook and Twitter apps also included.
HTC Hero features a 3.2 inches capacitive touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5m headset jack and a 5MP autofocus camera. The Hero will be available in Australia for AUD 799 ($745).

Nokia have announced a new phone called the Nokia 5330 Mobile TV Edition. The phone supports mobile broadcast TV (DVB-H), so if you’re a TV addict, this is probably the phone for you.
