Sony has unveiled its new S, E and B series Walkman players. The new players sport various options for enjoying tunes from multiple sources, including many download stores and personal music collections. Drag and drop operation and in-Flight Noise Cancellation are key features of the S-series Walkman player. Also the S-series player includes 2-inch QVGA LCD screen. Further users can personalize their player with 10 pre-installed wallpaper images or their favorite digital photo. The S series player will be available in two capacities 4 GB and 8 GB. BlackBerry 9530 Storm Is Verizon’s Thunder

Blackbrerry Storm is not a new device after all. You already familiar with this Blackberry device as Blackberry Thunder. The tech blog Engadgetshowed the packaging for the new touchscreen-operated BlackBerry 9530 - RIM’s first device with no physical keyboard. Now called the Storm in the U.S. market, the phone will be released on Verizon Wireless later this year. Wondering what happened to the Thunder name? Blackberry rename the Thunder to Storm specially for Verizon.  Engadget reveals that the Thunder moniker isn’t disappearing entirely, but that it is merely being reserved for the Rogers Wireless launch in Canada, as well as Vodafone in Europe. read more…

Nokia launches global Ovi site and Sync on Ovi

Ovi.com website has now officially launched! The new site brings all of Nokia’s online services and entities together in one, and adds a few new features, as well. From the Ovi.com homepage, you can easily get to Nokia Maps, N-Gage, Share on Ovi, and Files on Ovi. A new service was also launched, Sync on Ovi. There are 2 new features: calendar and contacts. Sony Introduces Cyber-shot DSC-T500 with HD Movie Recording

Sony has launched Cybershot called the DSC-T500. This is Sony’s first effort to bridge the gap between digital still cameras and digital camcorders by recording high-definition video suitable for playback on an HD TV, via an optional HDMI cable. This 10-megapixel camera features wide and full-screen 720p movie recording at 30 frames per second in fine, standard and VGA recording modes. The movie function is based on the MPEG4 AVC/H.264 codec for video compression and stereo audio. Movie capture is further enhanced to include zoom while in recording mode and high-sensitivity shooting for natural- or low-light environments. Moreover in recording a video, The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T500 can continuously record a video clip up to 10 minutes in length, and can hold hours of clips by expanding the camera’s capacity with Memory Stick cards up to 16GB. It also features a dual photo and video capture mode, which can capture up to three photos without interrupting the recording. read more…

Google announces Android Market for phone apps

Google announced the Android Market, which will be an open content distribution system where users can find, purchase, download and install content on their Android-powered phones. Google will host the service and allow developers to use it to get their applications into the hands of end users. “Similar to YouTube, content can debut in the marketplace after only three simple steps: register as a merchant, upload and describe your content and publish it,” Chu said. “We chose the term ‘market’ rather than ’store’ because we feel that developers should have an open and unobstructed environment to make their content available.” A very interesting aspect about the Dream / G1 is that, according to Androidguys, it will have an Android Marketplace. This should provide access to an online portal, from where users can download applications, games and so on – much like the App Store for which Apple’s iPhones and iPods are famous. read more…
