CompuLab introduced it’s new handheld Android and Windows Mobile cell last week during CES 2009. The handheld support for Windows Mobile, Android, and Linux, as well a 3.5-inch sun-readable VGA touchscreen, Â a capacitive touchpad that will acts like a mouse, and 2USB ports. It is designed for the enterprise market and is distinctly squarish. The keyboard is a full QWERTY keyboard with a backlight.
The Android-phone can also run Windows Mobile 6.1, enabling some impressive flexibility for business users. Inside is a 520 MHz Marvell processor, 128 MB of RAM, and it works damn near anywhere, a microSD+SDHC expansion slot, a 2-megapixel digital camera, integrated microphone, a 3.5mm stereo jack, and a high-capacity 3000mAh battery. Resellers have their choice of quad-band GSM/GPRS/CDMA/3G UMTS, not to mention a 10/100Base-T Ethernet port and Wi-Fi. The EDA handheld will be available to purchase in March for an undefined price.
