The Chinese manufacturer, ZTE, is teaming up with Jamaica’s Digicel Group to roll out one of the world’s first mass-market solar cellphones. Just a day after the appearance of Blue Earth from Samsung, ZTE unveiled the Coral-200-Solar phone as an alternative for a solar powered mobile phone besides LG’s solar phone. The phone gets its power via an integrated solar charger. There is still a battery in there, you just don’t need an outlet to charge it. Then, people who don’t have any power outlets in their house will enable to have mobile phone technology.
The phone should be available by June of this year.
