The Motorola Droid gets a new name when it arrives on O2 in Germany. The Motorola DROID is steaming towards a release on O2 Germany under the name MILESTONE.The document lists the Motorola MILESTONE – with a shot of what’s definitely the Motorola DROID – as coming to the German carrier in the week beginning November 9th 2009. The phone will be available for around $595 before taxes and subsidies.No release dates have been posted yet but everybody expects the Milestone to hit O2 stores sometimes before Christmas. It will bring a QWERTY keyboard and Its processor is a Texas Instruments OMAP 3430, which is used by the Palm Pre as well.
The Droid is an Android-based smartphone by Motorola to be initially distributed by Verizon Wireless in the United States.
It’s unknown whether the Motorola MILESTONE is an exclusive to O2, or will be available on other carriers.
