E-Ten, the Taiwan-based handset manufacturer, has launched the first dual-SIM Windows Mobile handset to support HSDPA and EDGE, namely Glofiish DX900. It is great news for Glofiish lovers, E-TEN have just been awarded the Best Choice of Computex Award 2008 for their brand new Glofiish DX900. The former, according to E-Ten, is an entry level smartphone that “offers both value and functionality”. Meanwhile, the latter will be a UMTS/HSDPA handset that targets business suits who need an Internet connection wherever they are.
The Glofiish DX900 is now being showcased alongside two other touchscreen handsets, the X610 and the X900. E-ten has given a simple solution to an increasingly in-demand requirement for consumers who need access to two mobile communications services, but don’t want to carry around two devices at the same time. With super fast UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, these mobile is ideal for high-speed web-browsing, VoIP calls, video streaming plus the ability to see documents, web-pages, pictures and video on a very clear VGA display. The highlights of Glofiish DX900 include a 2.8 inch TFT touchscreen display with 480 x 640 pixels and 65K colors (like HTC’s Touch Diamond), a 3D user interface, quad-band GSM and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, built-in GPS and a 3 Megapixel auto-focus photo camera. As in the case of DX900, the prices and release dates of X900 and X610 are unknown yet, but it shouldn’t be long before we see them on the market.
