FCC Approves CDMA Version Of BlackBerry Pearl Flip

Bell, Canadian wireless provider  has began offering the BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8230.  While the US still doesn’t have the CDMA versions of said handsets, Bell Canada has become the first carrier in the world to offer the new handset. Pricing appears its going to run you $29.95 on 3 year, $349.95 on 2 year, $449.95 on 1 year or $499.95 outright with no contract. This CDMA variant will work with Verizon Wireless’ and Sprint’s networks, and adds EVDO 3G to the mix.

Other features of the Bell Flip Pearl include a 2-megapixel camera with video-recording functionality, built-in Bluetooth and a media player. Users can connect to Windows Live Messenger via the provider’s 3G data network, and have access to HTML e-mail. There is 128MB of built-in memory with expansion through microSDHC cards.
