FCC approves Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 with U.S. 3G frequencies

The highly-anticipated Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 smartphone has been approved by the FCC and helpfully posted on their website. The FCC has approved a version X1i which is going to be released in Europe probably. The device they played with lacked 3G support which doesn’t sound that good, does it.

The “i” version in old Sony Ericsson taxonomy refer to European and Asian GSM frequency, 900 and 1800 MHz, while USA market use 850 and 1900 MHz frequency.Hopefully the X1 will arrive in most markets by the end of the year. The long awaited Xperia X1 has been introduced in London Fashion Week last September. Yet the phone has not in the UK market until now
