NTT DoCoMo in partnership with AuthenTec announced today the world’s very first waterproof mobile phone that also has a distinct finger print sensor security. Dubbed as the F-01A. The fingerprint sensor, nicknamed TouchStone by AuthenTec, will allow all of your personal and corporate data to be secured by see a fingerprint sensor. Besides the fingerprint sensor and powerful navigational capabilities, the Fujitsu phone wraps in a 3.5 inch widescreen VGA touch screen display, 5.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, a 1 Seg mobile TV tuner and the e-Wallet mobile payment function. The phone also includes an integrated GPS that uses Mobile Google Maps with Street view.
The phone also boasts of being the first mobile device to include Authen Tec’s TouchStone technology.The handset is waterproof to IPX5 and IPX7 specifications allowing it to stay submerged in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes
